On August 19-20, 50 of the most important suppliers related to the wedding industry from Cancun and the Riviera Maya, met in El Pueblito Mayakoba. Experts in photography, hair and makeup, decorating, catering, wedding dresses, wedding planning and audio and lighting, among others came together to show their work to more than 600 attendees at the first edition of Casar 2016.

The concept had excellent reviews as it gathered the best companies together in a relaxed, outdoor environment, allowing people to feel comfortable to visit the participating stands one-by-one. To liven up the event there were presentations by soprano Thanya Gutierrez, Leonardo Cury, Rio Funk, Peter Thais and DJ Alessio, who managed to thrill all attendees. There were also presentations by Nesh Mexico and JJ Productions, along with a runway of wedding dresses by designer Paulina Araujo, dining by Koba and Fairmont Mayakoba, a photographic exhibition by Quetzal Photography and talks with wedding planners Michelle Salazar and Arianna Iturralde. Another highlight was when Carl Emberson, Director of Operations and Marketing of Mayakoba, expressed that he was very grateful for all the sponsors and participants that made Casar 2016 a huge success. Carl Emberson reiterated that there will be more events with local suppliers to add new talents whose services make the difference for the countless couples who desire to marry in both Mayakoba and the Riviera Maya.

The second edition of CASAR Mayakoba will be held on February 16- 17, 2017, and a third edition on August 17 -18, in order to accommodate two events per year of both the winter and summer time frames.
