Located in Mexico City’s historical centre, the Colegio de San Ignacio de Loyola Vizcaínas was the site of the most important girl’s school of the colonial period. Today, it is considered one of the most exclusive wedding and event venues in the city.

This baroque building is characterized by an atmosphere of history, art, and culture, and is also one of the most important colonial buildings in the capital due to its beauty and magnitude. The venue features its own private chapel and a massive main courtyard, where upscale wedding receptions and other formal events for up to 1,200 guests take place.

Due to its great prestige and to the fact that it is among one of Mexico’s most sought-after luxury wedding venues, if you want your lavish wedding reception to take place at the Colegio de las Vizcaínas, you must reserve at least one year prior to your wedding date. Be prepared to spend approximately $450,000 pesos just for the rental cost of the venue.

Fun Fact: Former Mexican Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete, recently tied the knot with businessman Juan Carlos Valladares at the Colegio de las Vizcaínas. The beauty queen’s lavish dream wedding has been featured on the cover of Mexico’s leading magazines as a magical evening, filled with celebrities and romantic moments.
