The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa has recently opened back up on June 20 with its recent extensive renovation completed. What once featured 342 guest rooms and suites, the resort now has 147 stylish villas, transformed under the guiding hand of renowned architect Javier Sordo Madaleno. Accommodations include studios and two-bedroom villas with the two-bedroom premium villas and two expansive luxury suites featuring private balcony Jacuzzis. Designed for extended stays, the villas are also equipped with full modern kitchens, balconies and washers and dryers.

“With the revival of Los Cabos and new energy in the destination, this is the perfect opportunity to raise the standards for well-being in the market, as only Westin can,” said Brian Povinelli, Senior Vice President and Global Brand Leader, Westin Hotels & Resorts. “With the brand’s unique wellness proposition for leisure travelers, from our iconic Heavenly Bed to our energetic and nutritious SuperFoodsRX menu, we are proud to empower our guests to be their best selves while on the road and away from home.”

In addition to revamped accommodations, the resort is also showing off a new spa and fitness facility that spans 10,000 square feet. Dubbed Spa Otomí, the peaceful escape is inspired by the colorful artwork from the Otomí people of Central Mexico and features a luxurious bathing suite, seven treatment rooms and a scenic relaxation lounge. The WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio has an open and airy space with top exercise equipment from world-class brands.

Guests can take advantage of the brand’s signature RunWESTIN Concierge who hosts group runs for guests and encourages runners of all levels to grab a running map and explore their surroundings. Multiple infinity-edged pools, tennis courts and beach volleyball are also available to keep guests active. And for those with the whole family in tow, the Westin Family program has a reinvented kids club, reimagined family experiences and more enriching branded amenities for young travelers.

Dining options at the resort include Cocina Casera, serving regional and international cuisine; El Ciruelo, an upscale, gourmet outlet; Mercadito, a quick-service option; La Cantina Sports Bar and beachfront Coralline, both offering casual menus; and Margaritas, an oceanfront swim-up poolside bar. Tequila tastings, communal grilling areas and live local music round out the amenities.

The Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa joins the brand’s growing presence in Mexico which currently includes hotels and resorts in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, Cozumel and two properties in Cancun. The brand will also welcome The Westin Puebla and The Westin Monterrey, both expected to open in 2018.
