Thai Food Festival Returns to Banyan Tree Mayakoba

Banyan Tree Mayakoba is bringing the Far East world to Mexico with the return of its Thai Food Festival. Taking place August 24-27, the third edition of the culinary event will feature authentic Thai food prepared by internationally acclaimed Chef Renu Homsombat, executive Thai Chef of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts; Chef Nattapark, Executive Chef of Saffron; and Chef Alfonso de la Dehesa, Executive Chef of Banyan Tree Mayakoba. Paired with wines and spirits and the enchanting elements of the Far East, this is one event not to miss.

August 24: A Night in Bangkok

Browse the magical streets of Bangkok for the event’s opening night which will feature the exotic Thai Water Market and more Thai delicacies in the main lobby of the resort. $150. 7 p.m.

August 25: Traditional Thai Cuisine – Cooking Class

Try your hand at preparing your very own Thai dish at the Cooking School in El Pueblito at Mayakoba. The interactive event will be followed by a lunch paired with Casa Madero wines and Tequila Patron signature drinks. The midday event will be hosted by Chef Renu Homsombat (Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts executive Thai chef) and Chef Nattapark Charoenpanich (Restaurant chef at Saffron, Banyan Tree Mayakoba). $80. 1 p.m.

August 25, 26 & 27: Royal Thai Nights

Experience the tastes of Royal Thai gastronomy at Saffron, a Banyan Tree signature restaurant. Add on a delicious wine pairing by Casa Madero to complete the meal. $102 set menu. 5:30 to 11 p.m.
