Title: Managing Director

City you live in: Playa del Carmen

Most recent city visited… Work has taken me to Tulum, Cancún and Mexico City. On the other hand, as a tourist I’ve recently visited San Cristobal de las Casas and Tuxtla Gutiérrez in Chiapas, Valle de Bravo in the State of México, Tepoztlán in Morelos and Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca.

A typical day in my life includes…   The first thing I do when I wake up is clean up my house and organize my things, have a cup of organic coffee from Chiapas which I love and I check my agenda.

Afterwards, if it is team work day, I’ll go to the office and coordinate with everyone on work to be done. Any other day I will prepare for my brokerage meetings with clients and talk to them about opportunities and deals to be made.

A healthy life is something I invest upon so once work is done, I’ll exercise with my personal trainer and have a great workout. After that a visit to the beach is a must, to swim or just to hear the southing sound of the ocean. If possible, I’ll do my meditation there too, but if not, I’ll do it at home.

Finally, I’ll meet with my good friends for those amazing nutritive conversations, and finish my day cooking, which I love! I read whenever I have the time and study ancestral wisdom.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… I always wanted to travel the world and I was focused on it, I wanted to learn about cultures, other religions and ways of thinking. So, when I was young, I wondered how I could do that and earn money. I started to work as a flight attendant after finishing school and started to fly all over the world. After a while I decided to give up that job and moved to Dubai and started a whole new life which introduced me to the exciting world of Real Estate.

My first job was… office supervisor in a family company

My favorite thing about traveling is… Meeting and getting to know a lot of different people, cultures and places. That has undoubtedly contributed to the knowledge of who I am today.

I draw inspiration from… My mentors at the last company I worked in Dubai: H&S Real Estate. Three Brothers Real Estate to whom I am very thankful for everything that I learned in terms of  Real Estate knowledge . Also from one of a kind friend who used to be my boss and taught me the first year in Dubai to be a professional business women and to understand how to deal with everything related to managing a company.

I separate myself from others in this field by… Being a spiritual being, practicing meditation, training, going to nature. At work I have to say it is determination, drive and perseverance that set me apart.

My greatest career achievement this far is… Being Managing Director of Select Riviera Maya Real Estate and building everything alongside my partner Luis Toledo. All of this happened when I was thinking it was time to move forward after all these years.

My favorite place in town to enjoy an authentic meal is… I’m Vegan and the best thing in Mexico is all of the amazing fruits and vegetables available, so there is a lot of possibilities for those who don’t eat animal products in Riviera Maya, especially as it’s very cosmopolitan, you can find vegan food everywhere.

People would be surprised to know… The Riviera Maya is actually one of the best places in the world to invest in Real Estate, after Dubai, Playa del Carmen is considered the second place with a large Real Estate growth and Tulum has exponentially grown in the number of tourists that visit it year after year. This poises the region as an important investment option with a very good return of investment per year.
