Many a false step was made by standing still. ~ Tim Ferris ✨ . A lot of us are confused about what we want to do with our lives. This is partly due to the fact that in today's world we have so many options and on the one hand anything seems possible but on the other hand it's also easy to get caught up in all these options and not do anything. In other words, we may have a lot of ideas but then doubt ourselves, get distracted or just become lazy (because hey, who is to say this will work out anyway?!). And in the end a lot of us don't do anything and remain just where we are ✨ . You may think I have my life together because I left my office job to follow my dream of travelling the world and creating beautiful content which will then inspire others to do the same. But what you don't see on Instagram (aka. our beloved "highlight reel") is how long I was doubting myself before I finally made this decision, how I was still unsure even after I told my "ex" manager @lorraine.mcguire ? that I was going to leave the company and how I am still now constantly doubting and re-assessing my situation. But you know what? As I said in my previous post, questioning ourselves to a certain extent is healthy. It prevents us from becoming complacent and helps us to stay focused. It keeps life interesting and challenging. And it makes it ever so rewarding when we finally do achieve something that we worked for. That's why it's so important to remember that (at least in my opinion) the opposite of success is not failure but standing still ✨ .
