Planning to sell your abode? Make your home irresistible to potential buyers.

Keep it Neutral

A fresh coat of paint can do wonders for a space and to appeal to buyers, opt for neutral colors like grey, beige and white. Bright, bold colors can be aggressive and unlikely to appeal to a wide range of buyers.

Play Up Curb Appeal

The outside of the home is just as important as the inside of the home. Take some time to spruce up the exterior with fresh flowers, trimmed bushes and yards mowed.

Declutter

Perhaps one of the most important things to do when staging your home is to declutter and clean it. Getting rid of business allows buyers to focus on the home and not the mess. Moreover, a clean space shows that the home is taken care of, something important when considering a home purchase.

Depersonalize Your Space

Consider removing personal items around the house like family photos and refrigerator decor. Buyers want to picture themselves living in your home and it’s much easier to do in a neutral space.

Make it Seasonal

Take advantage of the current season and play up the time of year to further attract buyers. Show off your sparkling, refreshing pool and expansive backyard during warm summer days or greet visitors with cozy fall decor and pumpkins on the porch during autumn.
