Casa Mineral has the ability to transform marble into spectacular pieces so that they become part of the everyday objects in your home or office featuring simple lines, aesthetic shapes and a range of colors from white to black through beautiful and different shades of gray. The company, led by architects Maritza Lara Cáceres and Daniel Cruz Maldonado, has in its collection vessels, boards, bookends, cup holders, jewelers, tables and more products that are created by Mexican hands through artisan processes that turn each product into a unique and special piece.
We interviewed the creators of Casa Mineral so that they could tell us a little more about this creative and genuine project.
What is the concept of Casa Mineral?
The concept of the brand is to make a collection of contemporary marble objects with artisan manufacturing. We believe in making pieces that enhance the experience of everyday life.
What is the selection of materials?
The raw material is marble, a stone present in the historical memory of the human being as a reference of luxury and solemnity. Marble is a stone that is formed in the mountains over millions of years and none is the same as another. We only use national marbles and local manufacturing, as we believe in building sustainable value chains that bring development and growth to our country.
Where can we find your products?
Casa Mineral is part of Casa Quieta´s collection, our most recent project. Casa Quieta is a furniture and accessories showroom located inside a 20th century Art Deco building on Campos Elíseos Street, in Polanco. The showroom promotes products of local manufacture, the preservation of artisan techniques and contemporary design. The concept of the showroom shows a fully furnished and accessorized apartment where everything can be bought. All the furniture, as well as Casa Mineral, are of our own design and production. In addition, we have pieces from other design studios that complement and combine with the universe and aesthetics of Casa Quieta. You can also find our products in some other online stores and concept stores that promote the talent of Mexican entrepreneurs and make them available to people.
