Jules Basement: A Hidden Treasure

In Architecture & Design by Isabella Moreno

If you like mysterious, lesser-known spaces, than Jules Basement is the ideal space for you. It is an amazing speakeasy located under Polanco—literally. Mexico City is full of surprises with parks, museums, galleries, restaurants, bars and spaces that are open every day for new experiences, as well as unexpected situations and experiences that will fill your visit in this country with unforgettable memories. This is the reason why it’s full of foreign artists, and why every day the city grows as a multicultural community.

Jules Basement is an architectural project made and designed by the recognized office, Chic by Accident. The decoration, lighting, atmosphere and the sensorial dialog is completely spectacular. It is a great option for enjoying an evening with good music, good company and exquisite drinks. It is located underneath a folk restaurant named Don Batiz and the entrance is through what appears to be a refrigerator. The space is small but it is ideal for experiencing this great underground bar in the city. Do not forget to make reservations since it is a small space with a unique concept in a huge city.
