New TV Series Showcases World’s First 3D-Printed Community in Mexico

In Architecture & Design by Suzanne Koch

Created by Apple TV+, Home is a brand new documentary series highlighting some of the world’s most interesting and unique residences.

Each episode showcases a different home, from an architectural masterpiece made entirely of bamboo in Bali to a log cabin in Sweden enclosed in a greenhouse. The series tells the stories and ideas behind each design that challenges conventional concepts of “home.”

The final episode features the world’s first 3D-printed community in an impoverished town in Tabasco, Mexico. The project was led by nonprofit New Story, their partner in Mexico ÉCHALE and construction technology company ICON. Click here to read more about the project.

The first season of Home features nine episodes and is now available to stream here.
