Alejandro Limón: My Story Behind Weddings

In Bridal by Ali MadrazoLeave a Comment

He is nice, friendly and has a unique charisma; making the most spectacular social events in the country was in his destiny, but what is the story behind the most fun wedding planner in all of Mexico? He is just 32 years old and he already has a great curriculum. He was born in Mexico City and studied Communication, as well as having a Master in Journalism. He was Chief of Information for the former first lady Margarita Zavala, coordinating communication issues such as interviews, monitoring of media coverage, attention to the press and tours. Some years later he was designated to coordinate the planning, development and execution of her political events as well as her image and the marketing of the campaign; at the same time, he teamed up with María José Fernández to create Limón Fernández, which has been producing some of the best weddings in the country for 3 years. From the moment someone hires them, they can be sure that everything will turn out as they dreamed of, in addition to the fact that in the process they will have a lot of fun and will be able to enjoy each step of planning the long awaited event. This is a little of what Alejandro told us about his favorites, his experiences and his best advice.

The thing I like the most from my job is…  the satisfaction of seeing the happiness of the couple because of the result of their own wedding.

My top 3 favorite venues in Mexico are…

Hacienda Tekik de Regil – Mérida, Yucatán

Colegio de las Vizcaínas – Mexico City

Rancho Las Sabinas – San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato

The most difficult part while planning a wedding is…  to please all the guests and sometimes the weather.

The beach destination in Mexico I recommend for a honeymoon is…

Todos Santos, Baja California Sur

What I admire from Maria José, my partner, is…  her sense of order in the management of accounts, her clarity in budgets and her relationship with the vendors.

The flowers I love are…  hydrangeas.

Everyone should hire a wedding planner because…  it is necessary to have someone to give order and design to this process.

The song I want to dance in my own wedding is…

Bonfire Heart of James Blunt and Everything of Michael Bublé with my mom.

My favorite decoration concept is…  hanging gardens from the ceiling.

I get more excited at a wedding when it´s time for…  the big entrance of the newlyweds to the reception area.

The most difficult challenge I have managed while planning an event is…  rain that shouldn’t have come.

Couples who are getting married should always…  enjoy the process before and during the wedding and leave the stress behind.

The funniest part of my job is…  every weekend is a party!

The wedding suppliers I would definitely recommend are…

DREA – lightning and sound

Vineira – cocktails and alcohol

Alan Espinosa – DJ

Whiteloop – Photo and Video

Taller de Tallos – Flowers

Polen – Flowers

The best advice I can give a bride is…  your wedding is only for a day, enjoy it to the fullest and do not worry about anything, enjoy with each person who attended.
