CASAR 2017: Your Guide to Mayakoba’s Wedding Expo

In Bridal, Play, Playa del Carmen & Tulum by Suzanne Koch

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, especially a destination wedding in unfamiliar territory. But for those looking to escape to the Riviera Maya for their big day, Casar is a must. The event will be held at Mayakoba’s newest venue, El Pueblito, and will feature more than 40 wedding professionals and a variety of vendors, suppliers, planners and industry experts. All vendors that will be featured at Casar are based in Quintana Roo and offer their services throughout the Riviera Maya. Vendors include those specializing in catering and banquets, beverages and mixologists, flower, furniture, lighting, music, photographers, stylists and makeup artists.

Not only will guests have the opportunity to connect with those in-the-know on Riviera Maya weddings, but cocktails, food tastings, amenities and exclusive promos will also be in full supply for a weekend full of fun. And to really get the feel of what the big day will be like, Casar will be topped off with a faux wedding at Andaz Mayakoba as part of the closing dinner.

Casar 2017 is taking place Feb. 16-18 at El Pueblito, the heart of Mayakoba resort that resembles an authentic Mexican village square complete with shops, restaurants, an art gallery and a chapel.

“Mayakoba offers magical, unique events, with a variety of breathtaking scenery to choose from,” said Carl Emberson, Director of Marketing and Operations for Mayakoba. “Verdant mangroves, the clear waters of the canals, beaches of white sand and turquoise, or a colonial town experience inspired by Yucatan villages complete with a chapel, are all ideal for saying ‘I do.'”
