In Bridal, Playa del Carmen & Tulum, Stay by Suzanne Koch

Tie the knot and say ‘I do’ at Mayakoba’s newest resort, Andaz Mayakoba. The luxury property is situated among six miles of freshwater canals that are surrounded by exotic mangroves, lagoons, and vibrant vegetation, providing soon-to-be newlyweds with a heavenly landscape for either an intimate wedding or a full-blown celebration.

The resort not only provides beautiful settings but also wedding consultants who take care of everything, from floral design and furniture and decor selection to lighting, live entertainment and fireworks. They can also arrange all group reservations, spa appointments, transportation, special amenities for guests and any event outside of the ceremony. Couples can also take advantage of culinary creations from Executive Chef Vincent Wallez and an extensive banquet menu complete with personalization. Three- or four-course banquets can range from food stations, family style or barbecue parties, depending on the couple’s needs and preferences.

Andaz Mayakoba also offers additional services including Presidential Suite accommodations with VIP service, customized furniture, professional lighting, live entertainment, floral arrangements and other venue decoration, photography by DelSolPhotography, videos, cutting edge audiovisual services, personalized wedding cakes and much more.

Take a look below at the resort’s variety of locations for your big day.

The Beachfront

Andaz Mayakoba boasts the largest beach front inventory of all four Mayakoba properties and can host ceremonies for up to 200 people. Stretches of white sand and turquoise waters provide an idyllic location for a classic destination wedding in Mexico’s breezy Caribbean setting. What’s more, the resort is completing a beach renovation project to rehabilitate its coastal ecosystems by June 20, 2017 and will expand the shoreline by 30 meters. And with more beach comes more space. The project will double the venue’s capacity, giving it room to accommodate up to 400 guests.

The Balam Ballroom

For a dazzling indoor wedding, the resort’s 6,200-sq.-ft. ballroom provides a versatile space that is flooded with natural light. Indoor and outdoor spaces, terraces and lawn areas highlight this setting and can accommodate up to 320 people. The pre-function area, which can accommodate 200 guests for cocktails and 100 seated in banquet rounds of 10, is highlighted by large sliding glass panels that allow the space to be divided into two separate rooms. The panels open up to the Balam Gardens which can accommodate up to 100 guests seated banquet style. In addition to ample space, the ballroom’s eye-catching area rug adds a touch of Mexican decor with its multi-colored stripes. Couples can also opt to really amp up their big day with an Encore audiovisual package with a lighted dance floor, a DJ or colored LED lights.

The Studios Courtyard

For smaller weddings, the courtyard which is surrounded by the property’s five studios, can accommodate up to 80 guests seated in banquet rounds of 10 or ceremonies for up to 100 guests. The courtyard also has its own kitchen area.

Lagoon Pool and Beach Pool

For an outdoor setting with less sand, the lagoon pool and beach pool provide picturesque settings, where twinkling lights, calm waters and stunning views take over. As the most popular venues for weddings and events, these two pools are perfect for your magical day. The lagoon pool area can host up to 150 guests in banquet set-up with a dance floor and 250 guests for cocktails while the beach pool can host 80 guests for a banquet in front of the resort’s beachfront restaurant Olla Ceviche.

El Pueblito

For an authentic Mexican atmosphere, El Pueblito was designed after a Mexican village square where a mix of sidewalk restaurants, boutiques and an art gallery surround a central space. The centerpiece of the square is the chapel, Capilla de la Santa Cruz, which can host Catholic wedding ceremonies for approximately 88 guests (up to 130 with added seating). A gazebo in the middle of the courtyard can also host weddings of any faith, culture or religion and the square itself can be transformed into an open-air venue for a reception. El Pueblito can accommodate up to 400 guests in banquet-style seating and 800 for a cocktail reception.
