The Golden Corridor of Los Cabos is about to become a little more golden. Two miles of coastline and 1,200 acres of desert bliss is the site of the new resort community Chileno Bay, another elite destination for those looking to escape to warm and breezy Baja. The community will be developed by Discovery Land Company—the same team behind the nearby El Dorado Golf & Beach Club—and will house the new, luxurious Chileno Bay Resort & Residences.
Set to open this December, the luxury boutique hotel will be a part of Auberge Resorts Collection’s portfolio which already includes popular Esperanza, an Auberge Resort in Cabo San Lucas. Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, formerly known as VieVage Los Cabos, will be located on the largest year-round swimmable beach in Los Cabos, making it an attractive destination for active families and aquatic-loving visitors. Guests of the resort can choose from a variety of accommodations that include open floor plans, floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces and contemporary design inspired by the surrounding desert and ocean with neutral, earthy tones and pops of bright color. From 60 cozy guestrooms ranging from 760 to 885 square feet, to 32 sprawling two-, three- and four-bedroom villas ranging from 3,300 to 4,500 square feet, Chileno Bay’s accommodations are roomy and inviting.
Incorporating the indoor/outdoor theme, guests of ground-floor villas can take a dip in their private pools while guests of upper-floor villas can relax in Jacuzzis. Villas also include indoor-outdoor gourmet kitchens with Wolf and Subzero appliances, outdoor showers and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and sea. For those looking to splurge on views, two three-bedroom Sky Villas will be available that both feature large private rooftop terraces with private pool along with an extended living area and bar. The resort’s real shining jewel however, will be its 11,000-square-foot villa with six bedrooms, six-and-one-half bathrooms, a private swimming pool, outdoor shower and enticing sea views.
The resort will feature an open-air signature restaurant, beachside taco bar and poolside grill with cuisine ranging from fresh ceviches to specialty tequilas. And like most luxury beach resorts, there will be a signature full-service spa where guests can relax and rejuvenate in between lounging poolside. The spa will feature 10 treatment rooms with private outdoor shower gardens as well as a cool plunge pool, sauna and reflexology pool. For active and social guests, an “H2O cave” will sit waterfront and offer a variety of water activities and for those looking to stay dry, an activity center will feature fitness venues, a private theater, artisanal market and more.
