Born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Enrique began his venture in art by teaching himself. He turned to various fellow artists and the Cultural Center University to help further develop and define his technique and style. As of today, he’s participated in multiple individual and collective exhibitions as well as at various art festivals, forums and galleries. His recent work beautifully reflects the vibrant colors of his native country.

Proudest achievement: Living full-time as an artist and reaching the hearts of people through my artwork.

Favorite piece of work: Each of my artworks are special to me since they all have a particular meaning.

How has Mexico inspired your work? Mexico has an incomparable beauty, a vast culture and wonderful colors. That makes it the best source of inspiration for my artwork.

What does art mean to you? For me, it is a way to escape from reality and use my creativity to recreate an idea on canvas.

What other artists inspire you?I consider myself an old school artist. I grew up watching artists like Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and Frida Kahlo.
