My favorite thing about Puerto Vallarta is… waking up before sunrise when everything and everyone is quiet. It’s a magical moment. Then my morning meditation, I clear my head and fill my day with energy from nature. I love the balance between Vallarta’s tropical mountains and turquoise blue beaches, it’s a moment of peace before all the madness. LOL!

A typical day in my life includes… Early morning ritual followed by yoga, running or any sort of exercise, getting my creativity flowing first thing in the morning is essential for my job. I eat breakfast—a green or super-food smoothie—shower, and get ready for work by 10 a.m., which is when my work day begins and sometimes it doesn’t stop until around 8 pm, it all depends on each project. I go between departments a lot, giving creative direction to the E-marketing department and making sure our brand story is on point in all areas of the hotel industry. It’s a lot of work but very fun, I enjoy it a lot. I spend a lot of time developing new concepts and creating mood boards for new projects. This requires a lot of concentration and good music. When I am working on new projects I go back and forth with my husband, Carlos Palomera, my work and life partner. We brainstorm, discuss, elaborate and then I am ready to begin. I work from home when developing new ideas and concepts; it is when I am most able to focus. I go to bed pretty early and try to get some ‘me’ time by reading, spending time with friends and family or just sipping on some tea.

I was born in… Guadalajara but Vallarta is home.

I’m listening to… Nicolas Jaar

My Family… is everything, I am here today because of them.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… such a hard question I would have to say…Andy Warhol.

One thing I cannot live without… love, creativity and my yoga mat.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… an FBI agent.

I’m inspired by… traveling. Traveling is music to my eyes, I see everything when I travel.

The one person who motivates me… I always push myself harder than I should but than again I am married to an intellectual architect, his drive is contagious. My husband is my biggest motivator, he lets me be and always believes in my crazy ideas.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… kindness, self-respect and love for one another or that I could close my eyes and wake up in another part of the world.

The perfect day would be… at the end of each project when you see all the final pieces coming together.

My first job… taught me what ever I choose to do in my life I would be successful because I set the bar high and put all my heart in it.

My favorite escape… the mountains or the ocean, close to nature.

My life… is exactly where it is supposed to be.

I’m currently working on… my parents new home, Garza Blanca Los Cabos and Rivera Maya.

Always… be humble.

Never… stop doing you, stay true to yourself.

My Pet Peeve(s)… when people make me wait, my time is valuable. Also smoke; I hate second hand smoke, I used to be a smoker and even then I would always be really respectful of others.

My Biggest Dream… traveling to every corner of this world.

Favorite Quote… Charles Eames: “The details are details. They make the product. The connections, the connections, the connections. It will in the end be these details that give the product its life.”
