Located at The Fives Downtown Hotel & Residences, Purobeach Playa del Carmen is the city’s newest and hottest beach club. As part of Puro Group, the Playa del Carmen location is the first in the Americas for the brand, with other locations including four in Spain and one in Portugal.
The new rooftop beach club opened December 2017 as a hub for food, drinks, a restaurant, pool and Puro SPA. The infinity-edge pool overlooks the Caribbean Sea while teak sunbeds and Balinese beds offer full sun-soaking opportunities. The Wellness Tower, which houses Puro SPA, features 360-degree views and offers treatments, massages and more.
Sip on handcrafted cocktails or munch on fresh cuisine inspired by Puro’s M3 concept which draws inspiration from the flavors of Miami, Marrakech and Melbourne, all with a touch of Mexican flavor. Health nuts can get their hands on options like Asian woks, salads and juices. At the terrace bar, guests can order cocktails from mixologists, flutes of Champagne or wine from the Puro Wine Collection.
To complete the mood, the beach club’s resident DJ spins out downtempo tunes in the morning, lounge music in the afternoon, and deep house and nu-disco at sunset. Plus, the club also hosts events and guest appearances.
Purobeach has plans for three more beach clubs this year including Tagazhout Bay (Morocco), Crete (Greece) and The Red Sea (Egypt).
