Summer Superbia Returns to UNICO 20°87°

In Dine, Playa del Carmen & Tulum, Stay by Suzanne Koch

One of the Riviera Maya’s top all-inclusive resorts UNICO 20°87° is bringing back Summer Superbia July 17 – August 25. The culinary experience will feature six chef restaurant takeovers plus sommelier wine pairings, tequila tastings, bar takeovers by top mixologists, pool parties and more.

Chefs

The six-week event will be highlighted by six different chefs, with talent coming from Michelin Star-rated and Five Star Diamond Award-winning restaurants. With a total of eight Michelin stars between them all, there’s no doubt this lineup will be a mouthwatering one. Guest chefs include Roberto Ruiz (Madrid, Spain) of PUNTO MX, one of the few Michelin-starred restaurants in the world serving traditional Mexican cuisine; María José San Román (Alicante, Spain) of the seafront Monastrell; J. Antonio Medina (Madrid, Spain) of A’BARRA, known as one of the best restaurants in Madrid; Abel Hernández (Mexico City, Mexico) of Eloise Chic Cuisine; Noah Sandoval (Chicago, USA) of Oriole who was named “Best Chef 2019” by James Beard Foundation; and Jesús Sánchez (Cantabria, Spain) of El Cenador de Amós.

Mixologists

The mixologist lineup is just as impressive. Guests include Edson Arzate, a 1921 Tequila brand ambassador and the first bartender in the Riviera Maya to introduce tiki cocktails; UNICO’s Executive Mixologist Luis Vallejo; Bosé Echeverría, ambassador of Moet Hennessy; Distefano Martínez, ambassador for Absolut Vodka and former bartender of Limantour, rated Latin America’s Best Bar by The World’s 50 Best Bars; Lorena Seligson, ambassador for Campari Group and Grand Marnier and writer for Tales of The Cocktail; and Diego Valencia, head bartender at ARCA in Tulum.
