Get ready to indulge at the second annual Food & Art Fest at Velas Resorts during the Festival Gourmet International November 11-20. Both Velas Vallarta and Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit will host visiting chefs to create special culinary experiences for diners. Additionally, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit will host its Food & Art Fest on November 16, a food- and art-themed event combining haute cuisine and a live auction. The auction will include a variety of art including work from Roberto Turnbull, Pedro Escapa, Ruffino Tamayo and more.
Velas Vallarta will host Chef Massimo Fongaro at Andrea who is currently the Executive Chef at Sagrantino and El Italiano in Guadalajara, both winners of the Star Diamond Award and the Golden Fork by CANIRAC for Best International Restaurant. His specialties include traditional Italian food mixed with different cultures.
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit will welcome Chef Roberto Sierra at Frida, the fine-dining Mexican restaurant. From Zihuatanejo, Sierra has worked in kitchens in Mexico, Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama and Venezuela and is currently the head chef of Frida at Grand Velas Los Cabos.
