Located in a residential area in Los Cabos, Casa 47’s beautiful mix of urban and coastal spaces is reflective of the owners’ lifestyle. Designed by Progressive Design Firm, the home features an eclectic, maximalist conception, a signature of the firm and its projects.

Upon entrance, guests are greeted with all social areas in one place, reflecting the owners’ “open door” policy. While the space is monochromatic, various design features stand out. Above the dining table is a blown-glass chandelier designed by Israeli artist Shimal’e Peleg. Textile wallpaper by Dutch house DWC is found in the living space. The sofa is highlighted by its abstract and textured fabric by James Malone, while a gray silk and wool rug adds warmth. To balance out the living and dining spaces, a stunning Norwegian-designed lamp makes a statement.

In the main bedroom, textured wallpaper in neutral tones creates a warm yet cozy space. Linen curtains, a rug and selected furniture opens the room up and adds an element of tranquility. Outdoors, multiple seating areas and drapes encourage an indoor-outdoor living vibe centered around a beautiful L-shaped swimming pool.

Led by principal designer Louis Ruíz, the exclusive luxury lifestyle design studio Progressive Design Firm has become one of the most sought after interior architecture firms in northwest Mexico. Ruíz, who has several studios in cities throughout Mexico under the Progressive Design Studio name, has worked with many high-profile clients who’ve come to love his work. Based on innovation, classicism and sophistication, Ruíz’s design incorporates textures, unique-hued palettes and timeless design solutions.
