Harmonious Union

In Bridal by Ali Madrazo

Luxury and nature are undoubtedly the perfect blend to give life to a dream wedding in a heavenly destination: Fairmont Mayakoba in the Riviera Maya. The fabulous hotel is one of those that make you feel inner peace while delighting your senses with smells, tastes, sounds and of course a spectacular view. Talking about Fairmont is talking about guarantee in quality, service and luxury, and if we also add the experience of an expert on weddings, the event perfection will be assured. Bertha Fricke, Special Events Manager at Fairmont Mayakoba, has 5 years of experience organizing events, and coordinates about 20 weddings a year, different from each other because they adapt exactly to what the couple is looking for, but they all have a common denominator: excellence in every detail.

The hotel has several locations for each taste. For those who prefer an inside wedding, Fairmont Mayakoba has a traditional chapel in the heart of the resort, beautiful rooms that can hold 50 to 500 people, and three splendid private areas located in restaurants La Laguna, Brisas and El Puerto. If you have in mind a celebration in touch with nature, you can choose from its two gardens, Lawn Island and Terrace Lawn, seating 500 and 80 people respectively; the adult pool that overlooks the water channels; or on the beach with the Caribbean sea as a witness.

One of our favorite reasons to choose this wedding destination is that they don’t work with established packages, allowing couples to define their own tastes and needs, making only one wedding per day. In addition to the ceremony and reception the resort can organize special events before or after the big day, like a cocktail party, a welcome dinner or farewell brunch plus a special day for the bride and her bridesmaids in the fantastic Willow Stream Spa. During the stay of the bride, the groom and their guests. everyone can enjoy various activities such as: a boat tour through the canals; water sports like kayaking, catamaran, snorkel and stand-up paddleboarding; sunbathing on the beach or at one of the five pools; golf at the renowned El Camaleon golf course—designed by Greg Norman and host of the only official event of the PGA Tour in Mexico—; and more. Say “I do” to this magical place and we assure an unforgettable experience will happen.
