Iconic Cancun Resort Debuts Multi-Million Dollar Renovation

In Cancún, Stay by Suzanne Koch

Visitors to Cancun will soon have an updated and remodeled resort to choose from when deciding where to stay. Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun All-Inclusive, a Cancun classic for nearly 30 years, is on the brink of completing a multi-million dollar renovation that includes the renovation of more than 500 rooms and suites. The remodel, which began in May of 2016, will conclude this April with the makeover of Torre Luna, the third and final tower to receive a facelift after Torre Mar and Torre Sol.

Maintaining its traditional Mexican flair, the suites and rooms have received an assortment of improvements including new decor using local materials like conchuela, a compacted marine shell that maintains a room’s temperature cool; wooden furniture; new electronic lock doors with proximity key; redesigned bathrooms and new modern guest room furniture encompassing all natural materials; hurricane-shock proof windows; updated rain showers; upgraded USB plugs; new 56″ Smart TV’s in all guest rooms and a faster WiFi connection.

The faster WiFi connection will also enhance the resort’s lure for meetings and conventions. Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun is a member of Fiesta Americana Grand Meetings Mexico, an exclusive collection of hotels that offer state-of-the-art facilities and services international meeting planners.

“From the resort’s opening in 1989, we’ve always strived to provide unforgettable experiences for our visitors. This renovation will add a more modern touch to our popular resort—something our guests are sure to appreciate,” said Rafael Lizarraga, Chief Commercial Officer of Hotelera Posadas. “A renovation of this scale was a long time coming for this Cancun icon. With the final touches underway, we are excited to show off our renovated spaces and have guests experience this new phase at one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Cancun.”
