Four Seasons Los Cabos Announces Opening Date and More

In Los Cabos, Stay by Suzanne Koch

Cabo’s most anticipated hotel opening is inching closer as Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas announces it will begin accepting reservations beginning on November 1, 2019. Just in time for the holiday season, the new resort will open on the nearly untouched East Cape in the community of Costa Palmas.

“We are truly breaking new ground here, being part of this community that, while only 45-minutes from Los Cabos International Airport, presents an undiscovered paradise like no other on the Baja Peninsula.”

Vince Parrotta, Four Seasons President, Hotel Operations – Americas West.

Perfect for all ages, Four Seasons Los Cabos will feature five dining outlets, 18 acres of organic farm and orchards, a Spa and Wellness Centre with 10 stand-alone treatment rooms and two couples suites, four pools, a Robert Trent Jones II 18-hole golf course, unique event space, a Sports Complex, a well-stocked Teen Centre and Kids for All Seasons program. Most notably, the resort is the first-ever Four Seasons with a private marina, a perfect amenity for those looking to easily enjoy sport fishing, sunset sailing and more.

Accommodations

Accommodations were designed by Guerin Glass Architects and feature a contemporary design that highlights indoor-outdoor living. A total of 141 guest rooms, including 23 suites, all stun with views of the Sea of Cortez and private terraces. Guests can enjoy sunlit bathrooms with sea views and free-standing oversized bathtubs, local art and native landscaping. Those staying on the first floor will be able to enjoy outdoor showers and private plunge pools for even more sun-soaked fun. Four Seasons Private Residences and Villas will also soon be available for short term vacation stays, each complete with a personal assistant and private chef.

Dining

Dining will be just as much a standout. Chef Costas Spiliadis’ Mediterranean seafood empire estiatorio Milos will make its Latin American debut at the resort. With locations in Montreal, New York, Athens, Las Vegas, Miami and London, guests can expect its classic menu and market-style seafood selection at its Cabo location. Guests will be able to hand-select their fresh catch from a mouthwatering display atop mounds of crushed ice to be grilled or baked. A raw bar will offer fresh whole-fish sashimi and tartares while other standouts include the famous Milos Special, a tower of paper-thin, crispy fried zucchini and eggplant slices over rich, house-made tzatziki and Kefalograviera cheese. Guests can wash it all down with a unique cocktail program highlighting Mexican and Greek spirits like top shelf mezcal, tequila, ouzo and mastiha along with imported Greek wine and regional wines from Baja Mexico.

Along with irresistible cuisine, the indoor-outdoor oceanfront restaurant’s interiors will wow as well with floor-to-ceiling windows. Channeling the minimalist Mediterranean style of chef Spiliadis’ restaurants, the outlet will have 14-foot ceilings decked out with 15 chandeliers, Mexican stone floors, deep cushioned booths and Volakas marble tables.

Additional dining options will include Casa de Brasa, a Baja-inspired brasserie; El Puesto, featuring sea-to-table ceviches, tiraditos and crudo; The Cove, an al fresco bar and grill; and Ginger’s, an all-day eclectic cafe. The culinary team will be led by Chef Tonatiuh Cuevas who recently made his mark at Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City with the opening of the Nayarit-inspired restaurant Zanaya. To accompany the authentic Mexican flavors will be a collection of local tequilas and mezcals and a list of Greek, French and regional wines from Baja Mexico.

Location

Located along the Sea of Cortez, the East Cape is a 45-minute drive from the Los Cabos International Airport in an area that’s been somewhat undiscovered thus far. With wide-open desert and sky and calm, warm waters, the region is ideal for diving, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, biking, horseback riding and tons more.

“We are fully prepared that this part of Cabo is about to become the worst best-kept secret in the world. Once our guests get a taste of the lifestyle here, I’m quite sure they will begin planning their next visit even before the first one is over.”
