Title: Managing Partner

City you live in: Cabo San Lucas, born in Chicago IL.

A typical day: driving my daughter to school and trying to manage my time efficiently running 4 businesses with over 100 employees and trying to be a mentor and leader for them.

Pet Peeve: when people are late for work or for a appointment.

Where does Xúmu come from: It means fog or Mist from the purepecha language which is native of Michoacán, where our mezcal is made so the name Rey Xumu means king of the mist which is the jaguar.

My favorite drink: a purple haze shot.

What separates Rey Xúmu Bar from other bars: We have a laid back energy with great mixologist and the most beautiful people.

Most challenging part: Dealing with people.

Inspiration behind Rey Xúmu Bar? A cool and safe place to introduce mezcal to first timers who have no idea what mezcal is.

How can we find Mexican roots? Our logo, which is the jaguar, has an original huichol design.

Favorite secret spot in Los Cabos: La Boutiqua Speakeasy in Las Ventanas al Paraíso.

Perfect day: Hanging out with my daughter all day playing outside and enjoying the beautiful weather in Cabo.

I cant leave my house without: My lucky challenge coin.
