New and Seriously Improved – Las Ventanas al Paraiso

In Los Cabos, Stay by Jennifer Dunkin

Las Ventanas al Paraiso is a five-diamond property in Los Cabos, best known for its exceptional level of high luxury service. Not only did Las Ventanas reconstruct their entire resort post hurricane, but they have also focused on an extensive retraining service to all resort associates. They’ve also added an entirely new position “Villa Hosts” to their staff to deliver an even more personalized vacation experience for guests staying in the new signature villas. The “Villa Hosts” are there to ensure that guests have one clear and consistent point of contact throughout their stay and are trained in foreign language, boatsmen skills, culinary classes, housekeeping, childcare, and more. They are eagerly awaiting to meet new guests.

The Spa at Las Ventanas concurrently underwent renovations, and created a new signature treatment that each therapist was trained in for over 100 hours. To perfect the delivery of the new treatment, each therapist was required to flawlessly perform the 90 minute massage while blindfolded in preparation for the reopening.

Las Ventanas has also introduced a new Experiences Program which is an interesting spin on discovering adventures of the Baja. The program is designed similarly to the way that fashion designers release their new lines, showcasing new destination-inspired experiences bi-annually. The first collection series launched this summer and includes an authentic cooking class using the pre-Hispanic “barbacoa” technique, a personal tequila tasting with an expert Tequila Master, a stirring treasure hunt through scenic Baja, a unique opportunity to create at a pearl farm, and more. The next experiences collection will be released in winter of 2015.

Las Ventanas’ new dining concept focuses on intense and historical Mexican cuisine. Diners will be taken on a ride through all major regions of Mexico and their gastronomic history. All plates will now be served in the center of the table for everyone to share, the traditional Mexican way of eating, and everyone will be able to taste the powerful flavors used to create each dish. This style of dining encourages everyone to share stories and laugh while they indulge in their meals.

The resort has also made subtle yet powerful renovations to its infrastructure including a much more powerful wifi and new state of th eart technogym exercise equipment to create an ultra-luxury experience for guests.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso is officially re-open as of June 4, 2015.
