Wine-guzzling travelers can take their love for vino to Cabo where Grand Velas Los Cabos is offering an over-the-top getaway complete with wine spa treatments and private jet transportation to Ensenada, Baja California’s top wine region for private wine tastings, Michelin-star dining and more.
Escorted by Sommelier Pedro Poncelis Jr., vintner and the resort’s Master Sommelier’s son, the experience starts out by whisking guests off to Valle de Guadalupe via private jet where the journey begins with a visit to Monte Xanic, Viñas de Garza and Casa de Piedra for private tastings followed by a visit to D’Poncelis vineyard where guests will be able to make their own wine and tote a whole case of it home with them. Guests also have the opportunity to amp up their day by booking a dinner by the resort’s two star-Michelin Chef Sidney Schutte with wine pairing that takes place in the center of the vineyard.
Back at the resort, the vino experience continues with special wine-infused treatments including a Red Wine Bath and Grape Mud Massage. The bath includes a soak in red wine, red wine leaf extract and post-winemaking grape marc combined with warm water. The treatment is designed to help the body feel and look young with its mixture of highly effective antioxidants. The Grape Mud Massage uses a grape-based mud made of polyphenols of grape ink, vitamin E and grape oil that smooths the skin with anti-aging ingredients.
For non-stop luxury, guests can upgrade their stay to the Presidential or Imperial Suite, both which feature a premium minibar restocked daily with top-of-the-line wine, spirits, champagne (Louis Roederer Cristal Brut NV and Krug Rose Brut NV) and Clase Azul Tequila and Mezcal.
The wine-loving getaway is exclusive for resort guests and starts at $26,650 for two people, inclusive of a three-night stay in a Grand Class Suite. Personal catering by resort Chef Sidney can be booked at least three months in advance for an additional $10,000.
