Title: Executive Director and partner at CIIC

City you live in: Miami.

Most recent city visited… Santiago de Chile.

A typical day in my life includes… When I am not traveling, a rare occasion really, I am developing new business proposals for CIIC, leading calls across multiple time zones, organizing events, and working with media and influencers to promote beautiful destinations. If it sounds like a dream job, I can assure you it really is.

I was born… in Camaguey, Cuba.

When I was younger, I wanted to be… an art curator.

My first job was… at a Kmart store as a cashier at 16 and by the time I was 17, I had become a cashier manager! One thing I remember is that I was fast!

My favorite thing about traveling is… it might sound like a cliché, but the best thing about traveling for me is getting to see how other people live; getting to experience different cultures and getting to try different foods (food is a big one on my list). It’s helped me understand the world a little better.

I’m currently listening to… Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard. I am big on Podcasts!

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… This is a great question. I would have a dinner party with Frida Kahlo, Pablo Neruda, Deepak Chopra, Ferran Adriá, Anthony Bourdain, John Oliver and Celia Cruz. What a dinner party that would be!

One thing I cannot travel without… Tata Harper’s skin care. Yes, it is totally acceptable to mask on planes if done subtly.

I’m inspired by… nature, music, colors, language, typography, food, wine, travel, people.

The one person who motivates me is… my mother.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be… our ability and willingness to tolerate and appreciate those things we cannot understand.

The perfect day would be… a fall day at Loggia dei Lanzi, eating a pizza, drinking a bold Chianti Classico and watching first-timer’s faces as they become stunned by the beauty and history surrounding them.

My favorite place I’ve visited… so many, but Lisboa stole my heart.

My top 3 bucket list destinations… Japan, Puglia (Italy), and Machu Picchu (Peru).

My life… is like a box of chocolates.

I’m currently working on… obtaining my second WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification to continue my wine education.

Always… dream.

Never… stop learning.

Favorite quote… “Feet, what do I need them for if I have wings to fly.” ― Frida Kahlo

Biggest dream… To own a winery in Chile or Argentina.

My pet peeve(s)… mismatched fonts, poor spelling, serial complainers.

My 3 favorite travel influencers to follow… @nomadic_habit, @tanveerbadal and @collagevintage.
