Seasonal Cuisine: It’s not a party without some traditional eats! Each evening, a spread of mouthwatering cuisine will fill the air with the aroma and flavors of the beloved holiday. Everything from traditional tamales and mole sauce to holiday breads and Mexican sweets made of amaranth, pumpkin, coconut or tamarind will be available to indulge in.

Candle Tribute: During nightfall, guest will gather around Cenote Cristalino for a special candle tribute where the symbol of death will appear to be prowling in the glow of small candles glistening in the water. Guests can then light and set their candles on the water’s edge while asking for their greatest wish or send their regards to loved ones who have passed.

Catrina Parade: The colorful and dazzling Catrina, who is the center of the parade, will make appearances throughout the event.

Calaverita (Mexican Trick-or-Treat): Children of the Kid’s Club will greet guests, asking them for coins or treats in exchange for Calaveritas Poems, a tradition of sharing mock obituaries that has become part of Mexican folklore as a dedication to friends and family in a fun and satirical manner.

Night Legends Tour: Enjoy two alluring performances that share the best local legends of culture and ancient beliefs. The Legend of “La Llorona” will reveal what drove “La Llorona” to live in eternal tragedy, while The Legend of Xtabay will detail how the beautiful Xtabay created fear among the Mexican men with her seductive charm and unexpected surprises.

Fire Show: The final piece of the ceremony, the Shaman will give thanks for the sacred elements of the earth while surrounded by the intense heat of the flames. As the villagers dance to beating drums, the entire Xcalacoco community will unite in a prayer for harmony and participants will promise to continue feeding the Fire of Life.
