Exciting news for travelers to Tulum! Direct international flights from the United States are scheduled to commence this week into the new Tulum International Airport.
This development marks a significant milestone for the airport, which opened to national flights within Mexico in December 2023.
American Airlines and Delta Air Lines jets will be the first carriers to land on Thursday, March 28, with United Airlines scheduled to follow in the coming days.
Direct flights to Tulum is currently available from the following U.S. airports:
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)
- Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW)
- Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
- Miami International Airport (MIA)
Additional service from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be added in the coming months. Spirit Airlines had initially planned to fly to Tulum but reversed that decision in February.
Looking ahead, other international carriers are also planning to begin flights into the Tulum International Airport during the summer of 2024, further enhancing the airport’s connectivity and appeal to travelers worldwide.
Upon arrival at the Tulum airport, passengers will have a choice of ground transportation, with options including taxis or bus services, ensuring a smooth and convenient travel experience from start to finish.
As direct U.S. flights into Tulum International Airport are set to begin this week, travelers can look forward to easier access to this popular Mexican destination, opening up new possibilities for exploration and adventure.
