The Magic of Mur Mur

In Dine, Playa del Carmen & Tulum by Suzanne Koch

Nestled amongst green palm fronds and rustic wooden structures is an enticing restaurant whose atmosphere is just as magical as its food. With two different concepts, fresh ingredients and an exotic ambience, Mur Mur is a must-try.

Everyone knows breakfast past breakfast time is one of life’s greatest pleasures, which is why BREAKFAST at Mur Mur is so irresistible. Every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Mexico City concept whips up a menu of French brunch specialties and even features detox juices, smoothies and cocktails.

At night, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., the restaurant is led by Chef Diego Hernandez Baquedano, one of Mexico’s best chefs, who serves mouthwatering dishes using local ingredients and simple techniques. Chef Diego’s previous restaurant, Corazon de Tierra, won the 2012 award for best hotel restaurant in Mexico and in 2013 and 2014, the restaurant was ranked one of the top 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America by World’s 50 Best Restaurant’s Academy. Now, using the best ingredients found in the Yucatan mixed with his innate creative ability, Chef Diego is treating Tulum to a culinary experience not to be missed.

Since the restaurant is constantly hunting for the freshest, seasonal ingredients at the time, the menu is always changing, giving guests new options every time they visit.
