Now you don’t have to spend your whole vacation in search of that perfect photo-opp spot. Mexico’s Velas Resorts has recently introduced an Instagram Photo Tour that takes participants to top nearby locations while also educating them on how to take the best photo.
Led by the resort’s community managers who handle the properties’ social media, the tours’ photo stops will vary by resort with possible locations including an ecological bridge, a cenote (natural sinkhole), hidden terraces, beaches, peacock habitats, botanical gardens and more. In addition to the perfect spot to snap a shot, guests will learn tips on lighting, exposure, angles and editing apps.
Afterwards, guests can upload their shots to Instagram with the hashtag #MyVelasExperience to be entered into a prize drawing.
The Instagram Photo Tour is complimentary and lasts 1-2 hours depending on the resort. The tour will be offered throughout the spring seasons for ages 10 and up.
Participating resorts include Grand Velas Riviera Maya, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Velas Vallarta.
