Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or have yet to capture anything on something other than a smartphone, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita’s newest workshop welcomes photographers of all skill levels to get behind the lens and capture paradise with the help of some of the industry’s best.
With gorgeous views, mild temperatures and vibrant surroundings, the picture-perfect setting of the Riviera Nayarit will serve as the ideal backdrop for the resort’s photographic adventure October 31–November 4. The experience will feature guided workshops, on-location shoots, one-on-one editing, constructive critique and instructor demonstrations. The adventure kicks off with a hosted cocktail reception that will welcome guests to the AAA Diamond property and beautiful Mexican landscape and will send photographers on their way with a gourmet farewell dinner.
The experience will be led by American photographer, Robert Caplin and American sports and portrait photographer, Peter Lockley, both known for contributions to major publications like New York Times, National Geographic, The Washington Times and ESPN The Magazine. The two will guide participants on daily adventures through colorful and lively places like the town of Sayulita, the nature preserves of San Blas, the fish markets of La Cruz and some of the best secret surf spots in Punta Mita. The varying locations will allow participants to shoot in different, unique settings and utilize both natural and artificial light. Along with providing ideal settings, the two will also lead inspiring lectures, hands-on gear demonstrations, and provide personalized feedback and analysis, to help sharpen each participant’s skills.

The workshop includes all workshop fees, daily breakfast and Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita luxury accommodations in a Garden View Double Room—upgrade to an ocean view or beachfront room for an additional cost. Along with learning the ins and outs of photography, guests will also be able to take advantage of all of the resort amenities and activities like indigenous outdoor cooking classes, customized tequila tasting and blending experiences or enjoying a seasonally flavored Mexican popsicle at the resort’s newest beachfront Gelateria.
The workshop starts at $4,999 for a single participant. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera, however cameras and additional equipment will be available to check-out and purchase before, during and after the workshop.
