Weekly (and Tasty) Rituals at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort

In Dine, Puerto Vallarta, Stay by Suzanne Koch

Don’t miss these delicious weekly rituals offered at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort that’s sure to add a little extra flavor to your paradise getaway.

Champagne Ritual

Toast to the weekend at this weekly ritual that takes place every Friday in the Altamira Lobby. Watch the art of sabering, a dramatic way of opening a Champagne bottle, and then guzzle down plenty of bubbly.

Bloody Mary Ritual

What’s now a staple of weekend brunching was once just a mix of vodka and tomato juice that Fernand Petiot started making in Paris. After becoming a bartender at the St. Regis King Cole Bar in New York in 1934, he perfected the formula by adding salt, pepper, lemon, Tobasco and Worcestshire Sauce. Now, every St. Regis has created their signature Bloody Mary which includes a special ingredient. Enjoy your own for breakfast in any of the restaurants at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort where you can also find a Bloody Mary menu featuring recipes from St. Regis hotels all over the world.

The Afternoon Tea

If having a cup of tea is your cup of tea then head to the Altamira bar on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 3 p.m. when the resort hosts its tea ritual. Or, enjoy the resort’s full tea selection at any time at any of the restaurants.

Catch of the Day Ritual

Choose your catch of the day at Sea Breeze Beach every Friday at 11:30 a.m. as fishermen deliver fresh fish to Sea Breeze Beach Club. Along with choosing your tasty fish, guests will also have the chance to meet the Chef.
