In Architecture & Design by Isabella Moreno

Trouvé begins in 1999 with the name Consigna, dedicated mainly to the sector of internet sales and the sale of vintage objects like watches and cameras. In 2005 the gallery was re-conceptualized with a focus on furniture recovered and intervened; it began to offer modernist design of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s decades. The concept today is the recovery of design and furniture of the modernist current, both Mexican and foreign.

The gallery has designs of the most recognized and classic characters like Arturo Pani, Eugenio Escudero, Octavio Vidales, Clara Porset and Frank Kyle; as well as contemporary designers and artists such as Cisco Jiménez, Viktor Martines, among others. There is also a Gallery Warehouse called Retouvé. Previously, this space was used as an exhibition center and individual exhibitions of Boris Viskin and Cisco Jimenez were presented, as well as exhibitions by artists such as Pedro Friedeberg, Xawery Wolski, Barry Wolfryd, Pablo Castillo, Amor Muñoz, among others. You can’t call yourself a design-lover or an art geek if you don’t know this amazing spot in Mexico City.
