Mayakoba To Host First Planet Hope Celebrity Tournament

This December, Mayakoba in Riviera Maya will host a renowned collection of celebrities for a three-day weekend event celebrating the best of sport, spirits, and gastronomy featuring an incredible tee off celebration and world-class entertainment. The First Annual Planet Hope Celebrity Golf Riviera Maya Invitational, hosted by Mayakoba will hit the Riviera Maya December 1 – 3, 2017 with a two-day golf tournament at the Mexican destination’s award-winning El Camaleon Golf Course. Throughout the weekend, guests will enjoy exclusive access to a series of interactive lunches, dinners and culinary demonstrations created by Andaz Mayakoba.

The 18-hole golf course designed by renowned PGA legend Greg Norman is known for its fairways lined with dunes and mangroves, distinctive hazards, its exclusivity and encompassed in an eco-luxurious community of four five-star hotels.

In 2017, Planet Hope celebrated its 25th anniversary. The non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization founded by actress Sharon Stone and her sister Kelly, provides outreach and educational resources to homeless, abused, and terminally ill children and their families.

The tournament taking place in Mayakoba will benefit Planet Hope DIF from Quintana Roo and other international charitable organizations from around the globe. Planet Hope will be collaborating on a DIF program. DIF (the National System for Integral Family Development) is a Mexican public institution of social assistance that focuses on strengthening and developing the welfare of families throughout the country of Mexico.
