Casa Avandaro: Modern Beauty

In Architecture & Design by Ali Madrazo

Casa Avandaro is a weekend house in a wooded environment ideal for people who love quality products at the time they love nature. It is located in Valle de Bravo, a rustic village in Estado de Mexico only 90 minutes away from Mexico City. It has a warm climate during daytime, perfect for activities such as biking, golfing, hiking, sunbathing and water sports at the lake. At night you can enjoy a campfire or a dinner at the picturesque restaurants of the zone. It was conceived by SOHO Arquitectura as a project that dialogues with the local architecture and with the context full of mountains. The traditional house style is fused with their concept of modern architecture, incorporating local materials and contemporary elements such as steel structures and large glass windows. For Mariana Holm and Rodrigo Sotelo, the main importance consisted in exalting the beauty of the surroundings. The six rooms with complete bathrooms are distributed in two levels, where you can also find a big kitchen, TV room, service areas and the living room and dining room that integrate with the terrace. SOHO was also involved in the furniture design to conceive an integral project for the customer to enjoy.
