Sweet and Sour by Faci Leboreiro

In Architecture & Design, Mexico City, Play by Ali Madrazo

The creativity and innovation that the Architecture and Interior Design firm Faci Leboreiro shows in each of its creations always leaves us amazed and eager to learn more about each project. On this occasion, the team led by Carlos Faci and Marina Leboreiro presents a space specially created for Design House 2020, which this year was developed in a co-working office and intervened by various creative firms.  The project was held in a Californian-style house from the 40’s in Lomas de Chapultepec, which for a few weeks they turned into an ephemeral candy store, whose construction took less than 14 days. Contrasting the Californian Architecture of the house, they transformed it into a space suitable for all types of public, breaking the monotony of a workspace designed only for adults through the use of pastel colors on the wall and the mirror that helps to give a feeling of spaciousness, together with the tubes that contain around 15 thousand candies which were kindly given to visitors of the expo.

The main objective was that each space managed to stimulate the senses of each user, that is why they created an atmosphere where the present is fully enjoyed, where the energy of each person is transformed and they feel in a different environment, away from what is being lived. Sweet & Sour is a sensory experience, full of color, light and flavor, that hopes to develop emotions different from those we are used to experience, spreading sweetness and joy, inspiring warmth and comfort. In each candy that was distributed they shared a little fun, hope and happiness in the latest edition of Design House 2020, being the first hybrid edition with controlled virtual and face-to-face visits.
