Grupo Posadas Debuts New Resort Portfolio: La Colección

One of the largest hotel operators in Mexico, Grupo Posadas, is debuting a new brand that features a portfolio of the group’s coveted resorts in sought-after beach destinations. Previously known as Fiesta Americana Resort Collection, the brand will now be named La Colección and will include 12 resorts throughout Cancun, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Kohunlich in Chetumal, each with its own distinct characteristics.

“Our intention is to build upon our well-known and established brands in Mexico, propelling into the U.S. market with a new brand that encompasses all our beach resorts under one name. We feel that La Colección resonates with our audiences and appeals to a broad range of travelers,” says Enrique Calderon, Chief Operation Officer for Hotel Division, Grupo Posadas.

The collection will set apart Grupo Posada’s beach resorts from its other 200 properties and will provide travelers with an easier way to select where to stay for their next vacation. Depending on personal preference, travelers will be able to choose a resort from the subcategories of luxury, bonding, lifestyle and active and will range from family-friendly and adults-only to all-inclusive and European plans.

With a current portfolio of 12 resorts, La Colección will continue to add to its esteemed collection with the new Grand Fiesta Americana Acapulco Diamante and the soon-to-be rebranded Live Aqua Boutique Resort in Playa del Carmen among others in Mexico and abroad.
