In Los Cabos, Play by Suzanne Koch

Need a little more than the typical, lazy day at the beach? Adrenaline-pumping, thrill-seeking, wild adventures await at Wild Canyon in Los Cabos, an adventure-land for people of all ages. Take a look at some of the activities you can enjoy for one of the best day trips in Cabo. Along with an array of hair-raising activities, the park also has a restaurant and souvenir store so you can take a breather in between flights.

Monster Ziplines: Hang 300-feet above ground as you speed down the longest zip line in Cabo; the Monster Ziplines at Wild Canyon have 300 percent more length in lines than anywhere else in Cabo. With the highest point reaching 2,673-feet high, the zip lines offer thrills with views. Nervous? Some of the zip lines are designed to be performed in tandem so you won’t have to brave the heights alone.

ATV Off-Road Runners: Stay grounded on the ATV tours that rev you up for fun. Climb aboard the two-passenger 450 cc Honda ATVs, where riders will partake in a test ride and practice circuit to become comfortable before taking on the real thing. No matter your skill set, everyone enjoys a tour that includes five beautiful areas: ocean, brook, beach, canyon and mountain.

Camel Rides: Perfect for families, the camel rides bring an exotic element to the park. Meet and feed the camels before gearing up for games, lessons and the ride itself. Journey through El Tule oasis that is located at the bottom of the canyon while enjoying a challenge field full of activities. Youngsters are welcome, as some of the camels are younger and specially trained to be ridden by kids.

Bungee Bombers: Ever had the urge to bungee jump? Take the leap from a glass-bottom gondola into the expansive canyon with an elastic that extends over 157 feet.

Giant Swing: Would you rather swing than dive? Then latch onto the Sling Swinger where you’ll free-fall into the center of the canyon and then swing in a pendulum of a 240-foot radius at 87 miles per hour. Brave it solo or with a companion.

Moon Zipping: Once a month during the full moon venture out on a nighttime zip line tour. The tour begins at sunset at El Tule Canyon and offers riders five different zip line runs through the starry night. A minimum number of spots are available so reservations are highly recommended.

Wild Canyon’s Kingdom: Pet and feed exotic animals like iguanas, love-birds, prairie dogs, macaws and more. If you’re brave enough, don’t miss out on the photo opportunity with a crocodile.

Canyon Bridge: The key focal point of this park is the Canyon Bridge, the longest pedestrian and ATV hanging bridge in the world. The hanging structure stretches 1,082 feet long and hovers 164 feet above the ground (at its lowest point). With a width of 6.56 feet, the bridge can hold 300 people or 50 ATVs simultaneously. Along with ATV riders zooming across it, it also serves to be a prime viewing spot for those looking to watch others jump, swing and zip across the canyon.
