One Life in the Paradise of Tulum

In Architecture & Design by Isabella Moreno

If the space to which you will arrive at the Mexican Caribbean is called “One Life,” you know that you are in the right place. One Life is a residential condominium project and is another creation from Tulum’s fantastic architectural office, Studio Architects. At this place they keep making spaces for the enjoyment of everyone in this earthly paradise. The construction ran under Ceiba Construction and the decoration is from Alberto Penny and Joanna Kunze.

This beautiful architectural project was built in an area of over 3,000 square meters disposed in a triangular shape, which dictated the layout of the buildings. The residential complex is surrounded by tropical vegetation in one of the most beautiful places in the world. In this space it is always a priority to preserve, nurture and grow the natural environment. That is why all the architectural projects are linked to and integrated with the nature that surrounds them.

The concept of One Life is inspired by linking abstract concepts into its design. Studio Architects chose three elements related to natural cycles: roots, land and trees. The roots extend into the jungle as the people who inhabit the space. The earth is the food, which gives life to the environment and is what retains its essence throughout the project. They try to keep untouched the natural elements in the place where they are so they can be integrated into the design, honoring the life of each one of the trees and vegetation that inhabit the place. That is why each of the buildings are named after typical trees in the area like Chaca, Chechen and Ceiba.

The details, the environment and the decoration are what creates an unforgettable stay. It is a place that honors nature and its own name since it is a space to enjoy life as a unique time of existence.
