They are dedicated to create original products, and they transform the ordinary into something extraordinary. It was founded in 2017 by Lilia Corona, Platalea Studio develops contemporary design collections for decoration projects and interior design for homes and businesses using the latest technology and handcrafted finishes  combined with endemic local processes and materials. At Platalea Studio they contribute into creating something meaningful through the industrial design to enjoy every day, the mission is filled with love and joy everyday.

The first ceramic collection is called Silvia and was in collaboration with Rodrigo Lobato. This collection consists of six pieces in which the concept is inspired by the flowers as a metaphor for the stylization of the human body, the orientation vases feature flowers to exalt their essential forms. Colors and shapes designed by Lilia Corona and Rodrigo Lobato were inspired by the contemplative experience of walking into a garden full of flowers, to give comfort to the spirit. The aim is to evoke the joy of connecting with nature in an elegant and original way. They used high temperature ceramic and for being a local process in CDMX, they also required 3D modeling and prototyping CNC Router . Keep in sight this industrial design proposal that has just come out of the Mexico City’s creative nucleus.
