Sun, Sand and Ixtapa

In Architecture & Design by Ali Madrazo

Ixtapa Zihuatanejo is also located in the state of Guerrero, but it is not as populated as other beaches, so visitors can enjoy the place without worrying about tourists. CC Arquitectos, led by Manuel Cervantes Cespedes, was in charge of the project Villa Ixtapa, a marvelous beach house with a spectacular view to the sea. The interior design was created by the talented Mexicans of Habitacion 116 and the landscape design was made by Entorno, Taller de Paisaje. The synergy between these 3 work teams achieved wonderful results. Natural elements such as vegetation, water and wind are the main characters in this scenery where body, mind and spirit find a perfect balance. Materials were also selected to create an environment the closest possible to naturalness and comfort. The timeless design of every space in this house makes it special for responding no to trends, but to the client´s necessities and priorities. Imagine yourself lying in one of the bunks, reading your favorite book and feeling the breeze that touches your cheeks. Going into the fresh pool or playing board games with your family at the terrace also sound like great ideas. Design and architecture not only enriches aesthetics, they are also in charge of improving life quality as a conviction.
