The First Thai Food Festival Debuting at Banyan Tree Cabo Marques

Banyan Tree Cabo Marques is bringing the flavors of the Far East to Acapulco with its first edition of the Thai Food Festival. The savory event will take place September 7-9 and will feature mouthwatering cuisine and eats from Chef Renu Homsombat, Executive Chef of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts; Chef Chitchom Chansong, Saffron Restaurant Chef; and Chef Rurik Salazar, the hotel’s Executive Chef.

Chef Renu Homsombat, lead of all Thai cuisine at Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, has appeared at international food festivals and whipped up dishes for Michelin-starred restaurants. Most recently, she has lent her skills to the German Schwarzwaldstube, the longest sustained 3-Michelin Star restaurant in Europe; Conde Nast in New York City; Millesime in Mexico City; the top-class Gourmet & Wien Festival in Rheingau, Germany; the Bangkok Gourmet Festival; and the 2-Michelin Star ECCO in Zurich.

September 7: A Night in Bangkok

Guests will be transported to the magical streets of Bangkok for a night of exotic Thai delicacies at Reflections pool deck. The opening evening will kick off the resort’s first edition of the special event. 7 p.m.

September 8: Traditional Thai Cuisine

Dive in even deeper to the Far East cuisine with a Thai cooking class at Las Vistas Lobby Bar before enjoying a lunch paired with wine and Saffron signature drinks. The event will be hosted by Chef Renu Homsombat and Chef Chitchom Chansong. 1 p.m.

September 8, 9: Royal Thai Nights

Indulge in all the tastes of Royal Thai gastronomy at Saffron, Banyan Tree’s signature restaurant, as they serve up a unique, specially crafted menu for the festival. 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
