It’s no secret that the luxury hotels and resorts around Mexico are home to some pretty amazing pools, from rooftop oases to infinity-edge stunners. But a collection of pools in Hidalgo take the cake for the coolest place to take a dip.
Located in Mexico’s Mezquital Valley about 3.5 hours northeast of Mexico City, is Las Grutas Tolantongo. Visitors will find more than 30 pools each filled with naturally mineral-infused water heated by the surrounding volcanic mountains and perfect for soaking and relaxing. There are also two main caves, ziplining, a river, canyon and more. Additionally, youngsters can enjoy plenty of adventurous activities like a hot spring river and a kid-friendly pool and waterslide.
